Team History
2024
The debut year of CHA Hockey only rostered 10 players. CHA Hockey competed in the annual Lobsterfest, located in Rhode Island. Despite the small roster, this group bonded by the culture of CHA, and was able to make the championship game, falling to the Brooklyn Kingsmen.
2025
CHA Hockey 2025 began to show the full potential of what we teach and how to execute it. Rostering a full team, CHA Elite competed in the Denis DuPlanti Memorial Tournament and the Hershey Summer Sizzler, both located in Pennsylvania. CHA fell short in the Denis DuPlanti Memorial Tournament, but was able to secure a 2nd place spot in the Hershey Summer Sizzler, falling to the Maryland Jr. Black Bears. Despite this, these 2 tournaments helped build our players mentally, ensuring that the mission of CHA Elite were to be followed.
2026
Easily the most successful year of CHA, the 2026 season truly began to put CHA on the map for the Long Island hockey scene. After signing an abundance of star Long Island hockey players, CHA Elite was able to showcase what they had to offer in terms of being the best Long Island spring hockey team. CHA was proud to be hosted by UBS Arena, home of the New York Islanders, for their first game of the new season, defeating the Peconic Wildcats. The ability to mix skill and dedication is what made this team special, and will further represent the aspect of what CHA Hockey is about. CHA competed in 2 tournaments this year, the CCM Blue Chip Invitational, located in Rhode Island. CHA secured a 3rd place finish after falling to Beijing Hockey Academy in the semi-finals, also marking CHA as the highest-ranked Long Island team to enter this tournament. We hope to build on this season even further, as we approach the 2027 season.
